Learn more about...

Quail Mountain B&B is located on 26 acres, 350 feet above the Napa Valley on a heavily forested mountain range. Fall Foliage

Entering the property from Highway 29, you drive alongside our 12-acre cabernet sauvignon vineyard and fruit orchard. You enter our forest through an antique wrought iron gate and begin the ascent to our home.

As you climb the hill, you see Front of House redwood, madrone, manzanita, oak, and Douglas fir trees. We share this pristine forest with deer, raccoons, squirrels, numerous species of birds and our beloved quail and hummingbirds.

We are within walking distance of three wineries, and the town of Calistoga is less than two miles from our gate.

A large sunny solarium serves as a common room for our guests to enjoy the views of the valley floor or the warmth of a fire in winter, as well as our tranquil setting. Upon arrival, we'll treat you to wine and hors d'oeuvres in the solarium or on a deck or patio. You can unwind from your day and socialize with the other guests, as well as your hosts. Solarium

We will serve you a full breakfast each morning of your stay in our solarium or on one of our many decks.

Kitchen Your hosts have gathered recipes from their own families as well as other B&B owners and prepare scrumptious breakfasts in their well equipped kitchen. You might be served French toast one day and waffles another... never the same thing twice in one stay. All breakfasts are accompanied by Quail Mountain's very own blend of Thanksgiving Coffee.

Spending Time at Quail Mountain

Mossy Steps When you're not out tasting at the wineries, soaking in the mud baths, or taking in other Napa Valley attractions, you can find Valley View peace and quiet at Quail Mountain. You can relax in one of the varied garden settings on our 26-acre estate. Or you can walk down to our own vineyard and pass through stands of very old manzanita, redwood, madrone, oak, and Douglas fir trees.

During your walk, be sure to keep an eye out for quail and other wildlife, as they are very tame. In fact, if you're not looking, you might trip over one of our feathered friends!

And please don't forget your camera ~ our beautiful surroundings are always picture perfect!

Weather

The weather in Napa Valley is generally quite mild, but it can vary from 90 degrees (F) during summer days to below freezing on winter nights. In winter, the valley has some rainy days, and dense fog is not unusual at night. It's still beautiful countryside in the rain, but better check to be sure...
